Just wanted to take a moment to give you a quick update on a couple of items.

First you might have noticed a new(old) face in our neighborhood.  Chris and Charlotte Apel have returned to our neighborhood and now reside at 3605 Park Glen Drive. Please welcome them back.  J

Second I spent a significant amount of time on the phone a few weeks ago with one of the companies working on the project to widen SW34th street.  You might have noticed that there has been some survey work started as well as utility location work north of the 35^th street entrance.  This is in preparation for the real work to begin. 

The construction will occur in multiple phases with the first phase being targeted to be complete by the end of the year.   The first phase will relocate some of the utility lines between SW 34^th and Sw 35^th street along Telephone Road.  So expect there to be a lot of activity as we get deeper into the fall season.

The second phase will consist of the actual construction of a new intersection at SW34th and Telephone Rd.  This phase is targeted to begin mid to late next summer.  For this phase our fence from SW34th street to about halfway to sw35th street needs to be relocated.  It appears that it was installed by the builder in the utility easement along Telephone Road.   The north end of the fence is approximately two feet too far east with that distance tapering down as it goes.  The road construction team will teardown the fence including any brick work and rebuild it in the correct location.    We will also lose most of the trees between SW34th and SW35th to make room for the new turn lanes.  Once the construction is completed we will decide what landscaping and trees we have room to replace.
